As 2017 comes to a close, we are filled with gratitude for our donors, partners, members and friends. We are thankful for our dedicated team who care for over 1,300 animals – even during hurricanes! And, thanks to your continued support, Tampa’s Lowry Park Zoo is an international leader in animal conservation with an incomparable rescue and rehabilitation program. This year we reached new milestones – we have now rescued, rehabilitated and released over 400 manatees, performed groundbreaking veterinary procedures and recently welcomed a rare, endangered baby pygmy hippopotamus!
We are excited for future developments taking place at your Zoo and at a global level. The Zoo is committed to protecting Florida species including Florida panthers, manatees, Key deer and black bears. With your contributions, we will be able to bring the future expansion of the Florida Realm to life, which includes:
- Providing new and upgraded safe-havens for the Florida wildlife in our care, while at the same time bringing them nose-to-nose with guests.
- Giving the Zoo a greater capacity to rescue, rehabilitate and release more Florida wildlife. With your help, we will create an impact for generations to come!
As you ring in the new year, please consider giving the gift of conservation. Critically endangered Florida species need our help and every donation makes a difference. We know we will make you proud with what we accomplish together! Join us in our mission by making a tax deductible gift today
