The Ripple Effect

April 8, 2017 | 6:30PM Cocktails | 8:00PM Dinner

Sirenia: The scientific name for manatees, also reminiscent of mythical mermaids.

Legend has it, when explorers discovered America they caught a glimpse of three mermaids. Manatees are known to rise out of the water like the alluring sirens of Greek myth. As mermaids captivated those in the past, manatees continue to enchant visitors who come nose-to-nose with them at the Zoo.

One action creates an on-going effect of influence and change. Come experience unforgettable, natural connections at Karamu. Your support allows our team of experts to rescue and rehabilitate manatees for their release back into the wild.

Your attendance creates a ripple effect of positive change in the natural world around us.
