Join Dr. Larry Killmar of Tampa’s Lowry Park Zoo for a journey to discover China, featuring famous sights, iconic creatures and world wonders, from modern Beijing to ancient Xian, fururistic Shanghai, and China’s beloved pandas.

Explore symbols of China such as the Forbidden City, the Great Wall of China, the Terra Cotta Warriors and more. Plus, enjoy a luxury cruise on the mighty Yangtze River and exclusive experiences such as lunch in the home of a Chinese family and joining locals in a city park for Tai Chi.

All U.S. citizens are required to have a U.S. passport valid for at least six months after their return to the U.S. Currently, a visa to China is required for U.S. citizens.

A $700 per person deposit is due within 7 days of booking as well as passport information and date of birth, or by 130 days prior to departure whichever comes first. The final payment is due 100 days prior to departure along with a completed Guest Information form.

Individual cancellations are subject to the following per person fees:

  • Up to 121 days prior to departure: If tickets issued, airline cancellation penalties
  • 120-91 days prior:  $700 plus airline cancellation penalties
  • 90-61 days prior to departure: 50% of program price plus airline cancellation penalties
  • Within 60 days of departure: 100% of the program price

Tampa’s Lowry Park Zoo is operated by the Lowry Park Zoological Society, an independent 501(c)(3) charitable organization committed to excellence in education, conservation and research. The Zoo is accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA), and is featured among the “Top 25 Zoos in the U.S” by TripAdvisor (2015) and “10 Best Zoos in the U.S.” by Trekaroo (2015). The Zoo is located at 1101 W. Sligh Avenue in Tampa, one mile west of I-275 (exit 48) and is open seven days a week, from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
