Ticket Questions
Question: What are the options for buying tickets? Are there any discounts available?

Answer: You may buy tickets online now through the day of the event, on the phone at (813) 935-8552 ext. 329 through the day before the event at 12 noon, and at the ticket windows of the Zoo between 9:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. now through the day of the event. This may be subject to change without notice—it is advised you call in advance to ensure availability.
Question: What is the difference between ticket levels?

Answer: The Baldwin Krystyn Sherman Partners Rhino Club is an early entry ticket level (6 p.m.) and a VIP area within the event (located in Safari Africa and the Safari Lodge). Your early entry allows you to sample the food and beverages, enjoy the entertainment and wander through the event ahead of the approximately 2,500 General Admission ticket holders who do not enter until 7 p.m.
Question: Are children allowed to attend?

Answer: While children are always welcome at Tampa's Lowry Park Zoo, there are large crowds expected. While no one will be turned away, everyone must have a ticket (children 2 and under are free) and there are no strollers permitted.
Question: My tickets were ordered online/on the phone and now are at Will Call. What do I do?

Answer: Once your purchase goes through, you will receive a confirmation e-mail with your Print At Home Ticket(s). Print your ticket(s) and bring with you the day of the event with a valid state ID to show proof of age.
Question: Are tickets available the day of the event?

Answer: Tickets are available the day of the event. All ticket levels have increased costs for purchasing day of. Rhino Club tickets will be sold on a first come, first served basis, depending on availability. Only a limited about of tickets are available for this exclusive area so it is advised you purchase in advance as this area will sell out.
Question: When can I buy my tickets online? How long are the advance ticket prices available?

Answer: You may buy your tickets ONLINE now through the day of the event. The day of the event, Zoofari tickets will be available at the Zoo’s Main Gate Ticket Windows. “Day of ticket” prices will apply.
Question: What do I need to get into the event?

Answer: Everyone will need their drivers' license or state ID to get into the event, if you plan on enjoying alcoholic beverages.
Event Questions
Question: Where do I enter the event?

Answer: Baldwin Krystyn Sherman Partners Rhino Club ticket holders will enter Zoofari through the Zoo School. THIS IS NOT AT THE MAIN ENTRANCE OF THE ZOO. The Zoo School is the silver building near the North Boulevard end of the parking lot. There will be signs to direct you. General Admission ticket holders will enter through the Main Gates of the Zoo. Gates open at 7 p.m. General Admission ticket holders cannot enter through the Baldwin Krystyn Sherman Partners Rhino Club entry.
Question: Will the animals be out?

Answer: Animals are not out during special events. However, "animal ambassadors" will be on site at the beginning of the evening to greet guests in the VIP Rhino Club area only.
Question: What is the dress for the event?

Answer: The event is a casual one held outdoors, therefore susceptible to both the heat and a passing shower.
Question: Is smoking permitted?

Answer: Tampa's Lowry Park Zoo is largely a non-smoking facility. During special events there are designated smoking areas for cigarettes only (no cigars). For the safety of the animals and other zoo guests, please smoke in only indicted areas! Anyone seen smoking not in a designated area will be directed to the nearest smoking location.
Question: What happens if it rains the day of the event or during the event?

Answer: The event is rain or shine, and because it is a fundraiser for Tampa's Lowry Park Zoo, there are no refunds or exchanges. The only exception is if a hurricane watch or warning for Hillsborough County has been issued. In this case, the event would be rescheduled to the next possible weekend, tickets would not be refunded.
Question: How do event proceeds benefit the Zoo?

Answer: Event proceeds benefit expert animal care and education programs at Tampa’s Lowry Park Zoo, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to excellence in education, conservation and research. Tampa’s Lowry Park Zoo is accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA), and has been named the #1 zoo in America by both Parents magazine (2009) and Child magazine (2004).
